Can Wrist Pain Be Due To Strained Ligaments Or Tendons?

I was moving a water bed and had no pain in my left wrist. The next day, I started having discomfort around my wrist bone on my left hand. The pain had been getting worse for 3-5 days. It has started to slightly gotten better but still hurts to twist it. It hurts right below my wrist bone. I have tired swinging a golf club and can not do it because of the pain I feel when I try to turn my wrist over. Could I have stained ligaments or tendons? or worse?
