Can't Walk Properly After Four Months In Plaster Of A Lis Franc Injury. Is It Normal ?
Hi I have recently been discharges from my consultant after a lis franc injury , I m worried as I can t walk properly after nearly four months in plaster , but I haven t been advised of any physio therapy ? I m in quite a lot of pain when I try to walk , in I have a really bad limp should I go back to see my doctor or is this normal with this type of injury ?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
After having a cast for 4 months, a noticeable limp during walking is expected. You need to have pain killers, do a hot fomentation and once the acute pain subsides, go for physiotherapy sessions so that full range of movement can be restored.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
