Cat Scan, Eeg, Blood Work Done After Passing Out. Twitching In Arm, Neck, Eyes. High Fever. Cause?
My son passed out an went to the e.r. The e.r. did cat scan eeg and blood work. Every thing was normal. 3 days later he started to twitch in his right arm and the back right side of his neck. A week later his eyes are twitching an he has a temp of 101 degrees f. He has an appointment to see the nuerologist but that's a week away. I was hoping to get some possible answers.
Hi and thanks for the query, It is important to see a neurologist for sure. Screening pf common serum electrolytes like Calcium , Magnesium and Potassium arr important. It is important to know his birth history, whether it was traumatic or not, whether he has experienced this before or mot, and if there is any family history of neurologic disease. His intellectual and growth states are also important to be taken into consideration. I do believe the neurologist with these information and other tests guided by his medical history and clinical evaluation should be able to come up with a diagnosis and management plan appropriate for the child. Kind regards
