Catapres Can Be Given For High BP If Diastolic Is Low?

my grandfather has a bp of 190/70..the doctor told us to give catapres 75mg if the blood pressure is on 180/100..but we are doubting if we should still give the catapres because the diastolic was low..do we still have to give it..we are afraid that it might drop suddenly..please help...thanks

Both the systolic and Diastolic raise need to be addressed
Catapres can be given.. there are better alternatives ; discuss with your doctor..
