Cause For High Blood Pressure And Also Fluctuation?
Hi my blood pressure varies so much it concerns me at work or during the day my Bp is typically 150/92 give or take a couple points either way. During the evening my Bp typically drops to 130/80 or so. I am a 33 male slightly overweight. I have seen a cardiologist and he couldn t find anything wrong I am not on Bp meds. Any ideas what could be causing my high Bp ?
There are many causes I see in your case for blood pressure to keep at high levels during the day: - being overweight - work overload - stress/anxiety - consuming foods high in calories
I suggest to get cardiac tests to rule out heart problems: - ECG - Holter monitoring - cardiac echo - stress test
If everything is ok, then, should monitor your blood sugar levels (diabetes testing) and cholesterol level (lipid profile testing). Depending on the results, specific treatment will be prescribed.
Meanwhile, I highly recommend to follow a healthy lifestyle and diet regimen and get more physically involved.
Hope it helped! Dr.Albana
