Cause For Severe Joint Pain, Lower Back And Knee Pain?

Hi, I have severe joint pain in the elbows and fingers as well as my lower back and knees. I am 55 years old and feel like I am 80. I am taking Nurofen and it doesnt seem to help very much. What can this be caused by?
I am also going thru menopause and the flushes are constant. I cannot take any HRT as I have had a brain tumour removed 3 months ago which was benign. Can you help?

Hello & Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through the case and found that it might be due to some causes.

Normally after menopause there is sudden hormonal changes which affects the joint due deficiency of calcium.

Diagnosis can be-

Osteoporosis

Osteoarthritis

Vitamin D 3 Deficiency.

Rheumatoid arthritis either sero positive or sero negative.

So go for some investigation like-

RA factor

CRP

Thyroid Profile

Serum Calcium

Uric Acid and Creatinine.

Bone mass density.

X-ray of spine and knee joint.

Meanwhile take calcium and dairy product in your diet.

Hope it will be effective for you.

Thanks,
