Cause Of Persistent Left Sided Abdominal Pain With Occasional Burning Before BM?
Hello. I am 29 (almost 30 years old) and I ve been having a persistent abdominal pain on the left hand lower side for about 4 months. It seems to be most aggravated when I go from sitting for long periods of time and standing and I feel it almost constantly through out the day. I exercise and doing any type of abdominal exercise is painful. I also get a stabbing burning sensation along with it on occasion, which seems to be aggravated right before a bowel movement. What could this be? Also, it appears my perineum is a bit swollen.
There is various possible management as conservative medical and surgical after the diagnosis confirmation on clinical grounds.
Conservative management includes
- sitz bath
- high fiber diet
- bulk-forming laxatives
- local application of fissure healing and analgesic ointment
- regular anti-inflammatory medications
- control of body weight, sugar
- strict diet control to avoid all spices, non-veg (major provokers).
Surgical management can be discussed with the consultant surgeon in his or her office more precisely.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
