Cervical Mucus Discharge, Cramps. Have Ovarian Cyst. What Is Going On?
I had a glob of cervical mucous come out today. Shortly after, cramps began. They are severe. I often have ovarian cysts due to my having the mirena iud . When the mucous started coming out, i had just got out of the shower. I ended up having to pull the said mucous out. It felt as if i was feeling it being pulled out of my cervix. What could be going on? This is all new to me.
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
It's normal to have one to five days of cervical mucus just before ovulation, and also to have watery cervical mucus just before menstruation begins.Cervical fluid appears in response to the hormone estrogen. As you are also having Mirena IUD which is a hormonal contraceptive, it can make your mucus more thicker, that is how it works to prevent sperm entry.
So, do not worry and relax. If you have more concerns then visit your doctor.
Hope it helps.
Take care!
