Chest Congestion After Crying Episodes In A Four Month Old
My son is 4 months old and has been experiencing chest congestion during/after a crying episode. He doesn t seem to be in respiratory distress. It has been going on for several weeks and he has seen his Peditrician in regards to this. She has not witnessed an episode but she noted he is afebrile, has clear breath sounds, does not have a cough, has doubled his birthweight , and his activity level remains unchanged. She is not sure what it is not concerned but has offered to refer him to a Pulmonologist if I would like. He does have some nasal congestion for which I use saline . Is this normal for some infants or should it be investigated further?
Hi welcome to H.C.M.Forum. some children will have such tendency to struggle for breath.
if physiological recovers as the age advances. mther causes are trachio bronchitis due to allergy.
here baby cries due to suffocation. or hole in the atrial septum.
i advise you to exclude a.s.d by consulting pediatric cardialogist.
besides you dont allow the child to cry for long time. start veinig
food as early as possible. dont worry he will be fine.
