Chest Heaviness And Painful Breathing After A Fall. Swollen Muscles, Headache. Pulled Muscle?
I fell off my bed this morning and onto the back of my head/neck... my chin was pushed forward into my chest and all the weight of my body went at an angle onto what I'm thinking was C5 (about 2 vert. above the prominent one)... now my chest is heavy and deep inhales are relatively painful... SCM muscles on both sides are swollen as well, making swallowing difficult and whole throat and chest feel swollen- also a challenge to tilt head from side to side or look over my shoulder. Pectoral muscles are tender as well... Slight dull headache around base of skull and also behind eyes. Think it's just pulled muscles or should I be more concerned?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The symptoms that you are having could be due to a muscle tear, soft tissue injury or a fractured rib. Hot fomentation, rest and using a chest belt along with mild pain killers will help in proper relief. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
