Chest Pain, Burning Sensation, Strong Pain. What Is Wrong?
A friend called me this morning with chest pain ...he is a 46 yr old male. He noticed it mildly a couple of days ago. And it was worse moving his left arm . He did remember picking up and carrying his 8 yr old daughter on Saturday but no other strain he could think of. No personal or family hx of heart disease. This morning he felt a strong pain left side of his chest, pressure, maybe some burning...worse with movement and lifting his left arm. Also can t turn his neck to the left without pain. Chest pain upper left chest. No nausea , diaphoresis ,or weakness. Maybe some pain with a deep breath. No headache or other sick symptoms.
chest pain in a 46yr old patient that radiates towards the left arm can be due to ischemic heart disease for which you may need to visit a physician & get at least a 12 -lead ECG done, but these symptoms you have described may aiso be due to some neck muscle spasm which can occur in sleep due to faulty posturing & needs only analgesic & muscle relaxants.
