Child. Diagnosed With Mono, Slightly Anemic. Possible Leukemia?

My daughter is 23 months old today, and was diagnosed with mono on Monday 9/23. She has been ill for 3 weeks now. When her pediatrician called me Monday afternoon with her positive mono test, he also said that she is slightly anemic. I started searching on the internet, and found that mono and leukemia have very similar symptoms. I am wondering if you test positive for mono can she still have leukemia as well?

where as lekemia is blood cancer, the cause is unknown
