Child. Diarrhea. On ORS. Histroy Of High Fever, Vomitting And Diarrhea. All Tests Normal. Advice

My child is 18 month of age , she develop high fever , vomiting followed by watery diarreah up to 5 times a day
In the hospital the didn't find any tonsillitis , ear infection , they did urine test & culture , it came negative , stool test for rota & adeno is negative, stool test negative , blood test came out with crp 200

Fever & vomiting disappeared, diarreah is still there and she is irritated
I'm keeping her on ors

What should be the next step
I'm very worried

Nothing to worry as the fever has subsided.

The mainstay of treatment in diarrhea is to maintain hydration by giving sips of ORS like Pedialyte.

Monitoring of hydration by activity, urine output, and skin turgor is important.

Loose motions will take time of 3 to 5 days to decrease and in this period the maintenance of child hydration is important.

Probiotic like lactobacillus or saccharomyces and zinc can be added to treatment after doctor prescription.
