Child. Fever, Cough, Poor Appetite, Vomiting, Oozing Green Eyes Like Pink Eyes. On Tylenol And Bromfed Dm. Treatment For Eyes With Vigamox Suggested?

Hi, I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter whose had a fever ranging from 100.1 to 102.5, has had a deep cough, very poor appetite and she just began vomiting today. I have been giving her tylenol and bromfed dm. She just woke up from a 15 min nap and now her eyes are oozing green like she has pink eye. Should I take her to the Er or treat her eyes with vigamox also. I'm just worried because she wasn't vomiting or had pink eye till today..

Pediatrician 's  Response
Dear user,

All the signs point to an infection/inflammation. The involvement of the eyes and occurrence of vomiting are extensions of the same illness that started off with involvement of the respiratory system.

My suggestion would be to go to the ER for an antibiotic prescription and basic blood tests like the blood count and looking for markers of infection such as the ESR, the CRP and blood cultures.
