Fluctuating appetite might require a more critical review before taking particular actions. Fever, diarrheoa, weight loss and general patient outlook should be carefully considered. This shall help determine whether special tests or blood work up be done or not. Certain infections like urinary tract infections in children and also some metabolic diseases might present as such This is why a proper clinical review is required. I suggest you consult a pediatrician for a proper review. thanks and kind regards.
