Child. High Fever, Throat Pain, Pain In Forehead On Both Sides. Prescribed Paracetamol And Augmentin. Advice

My 7-year-old boy is suffering from a high fever of 38.5 degrees C. He complains about his throat and pain in the forehead just above his eyebrows on both sides. I took him to a doctor yesterday and he was subscribed with a 200mg paracetamol and augmentin antibiotic. What worries me is he keeps showing his forehead and says it hurts. So far, there is no vomitting and his appetite is normal. Please advice.

Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic. Thank you for your querry.
It seems to be simple respiratory viral infection which most commonly goes with such headache in his age. So you shoudnt be worried. Just make sure that he is well hydrated and reduce his fever. ALso, if this is viral infection then antibiotics wont be helpful so you need to be sure that this is bacterial infection and only your doctor can confirm this. WIsh you good health.
