Child. Snot Smelling Of Chlorine, Nosebleeds, Puffed Eyelids, Cough, Fatigue. Help

Hi I am Kim, a mother from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. My 18-month-old son's snot smells of chlorine since the day before yesterday. Also he has had several nosebleeds since then and his eyelids are slightly more puffed up than normal. Four days ago he had a high fever for two days, but that has passed now. He coughs a lot these last few days too. He is still alert and aware of his surroundings (plays and "talks" etc.), though he is more tired than normal. I hope you can help me. Kind regards, Kim

Pediatrician 's  Response
Dear Kim,

The offensive smell from his nose may indicate some small object stuck inside his nose, or infection. In both the scenarios, the absolute advice is to see the ENT doctor. Presence of blood from the nostril also points to a foreign body inside his nose, so no two ways, go to his doctor and get referred to the ENT specialist.
