Child. Sore Throat, Vomiting, High Fever. Gave Tylenol An Hour Ago, On Antibiotics For Strep Throat. Can Ibuprofen Be Given?

My 5 year old son has a sore throat, 103 fever and throwing up. We took him to urgent care yesterday and he ran a fever last night. He was ok no fever until about an hour ago he went to sleep woke up threw up and has a 102.7 fever now. I gave him some Tylenol about an hour ago, when can I give him some Ibuprofen? They also gave him an antibiodic yesterday they said they were going to treat him for strep throat.

Hi,
From history it seems that he is having acute upper respiratory tract infection.
As antibiotic is started, within a day or two he will start getting improvement.
You can give ibuprofen after 2-3 hours if fever is there.
Ok and take care.
