Child Breathing Through Mouth, Frequent Cold And Cough. X-ray Shows Enlarged Adenoids. Alternative To Surgery?

My daughter is 4.5 years old. She breaths through mouth and develops frequent cold problems and cough. The ent specialist after examining asked for a x-ray and confirmed enlarged adenoids and suggests to remove them surgically. Please suggest any alternatve treatment to avoid surgery. I am looking for homiopathy or ayurvdic treatment.

Mouth breathing and frequent cold may be due to enlarged adenoids as they block the nasal airway in the posterior part and lead to cold and cough because of frequently causing a source for infections.

The frequency and severity of the episodes in a year is important to advise you regarding for surgery for the enlarged adenoids.

But some times as the age increase, the lymphoid tissue in adenoids shrink leading to decrease in the frequency of the problem.

Be in regular follow up with your pediatrician or ENT specialist for assessment.

Coming to alternative medicine like Ayurveda and homeopathy results for adenoids, consult a doctor qualified in that specialty to know the treatment options for this problem.
