Hi Dear
Welcome to the platform of health care magic.
If the child is gaining sufficient weight according to her age,it proves that she is getting the required amount of feed.
She is spitting what ever extra feed being forced to her. Many times children do take extra amount on there own also.
Children do ingest lot of air during feeds (
aerophagia).
This air comes out of mouth and nose as eructation along with the extra ingested milk which might be becoming the cause of
choking.
This can be overcome by proper BURPING.
Burping means assisting the baby for proper eructation.(patting the baby on her back for some time just after giving feed so that the mother can hear the voice of eructation).
Proper positioning of the baby after feed and burping may also help.
Baby should be made prone immediately the moment baby vomits, so that all the vomitus comes out of the oral cavity and does not enter the wind pipe and the baby does not gets choked
Hope the query is answered and is useful to you.
Thanks
