Child Complaining Of Stomach Pain From A Year. Vomits And Headache Persistent. Recommendations?

my 9 year old daughter has been complaining of stomach on and off now for almost a year. One time I took her to the er and they told me she was dehydrated and the other they told me that they thought she was constipated. But it is still happening. She gets a headache and stomach ache and then the next day she is fine. Right now she is throwing up and I cannot keep anything down her again. This has been going on for a year and i do not know how to help her

Your doctor might want to consider that the pain may be a sign of modified migraine, as this is a well-known association, especially if her mother or sisters have had migraine too. On the other hand, stomach ache and headache may both occur due to stress from school work, or other social factors. I am not thinking of a unifying medical diagnosis for her, except that you might want to get her urine tested for infection or presence of blood, and her blood pressure to rule out hypertension.

I trust the answer will give you some direction on how to get help for her. Wish her a speedy recovery from this long illness.
