Child Feeling Dizzy And Sick After Removing Tonsils And Adenoids. Developed Rashes And Not Responding To Itch Creams Or Benadryl
My 8 yr old son had his T & A taken out 8 days ago. He has pretty much been responding like most kids, but today he felt dizzy and like he was going to be sick, then he was suddenly fine, but tonight he has suddenly developed a huge rash all over his sides, back, stomach and legs. Its not responding to the itch creams or Benadryl spray, so we gave him some children's Benadryl and are waiting to see if it helps. Is there any way this is related to his tonsils and adenoids being taken out?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, there is no relation between tonsillectomy and the rash which the kid is now having it could be some hypersensitivity reaction, and this will well responds to long acting anti-histamine "Levocertirizine" is drug of choice try it 2.5 mg twice a day or single dose of 5 mg would give good result have nice day.
