Child Given Calpol For Possible Viral Infection. Hb, TC, Platelet Count To Be Checked. Concerned

My 8 year old daughter has fever since last five days. Her pediatrician gave only calpol and said it could be viral infection, so asked to wait for 5 days. Now on the 6th day she asked to get Hb, TC, DC and platelets count checked. Is this simple blood test enough at this point? I am just concerned as she has fever since last 5 days

Hi,
These blood tests are simple and basic tests but essential to know the cause of having fever.
This will give cause of having temperature and after report with specific treatment she will be alright.
Give her plenty of water and light food.
Ok and take care.
