Child Got Slight Scratch From Monkey. Was On Antibiotic And Paracetamol, Tetanus Vaccine. Rabies Vaccine Needed?
my 8 year old daughter got a slight scratch through a monkeys nail on saturday 2nd november at mahabaleshwar.we immediately took her to doctor and she was given three days course of antibiotic and paracitamol though not having fever. also the doctor dressed her finger and gave her tetanus vaccine. now is there any need of rabies vaccine. please advice

Scratch by monkey needs rabies vaccine as presribed for dog bites.
Better start vaccine as soon as possible as it is not possible to obseve monkey for 10 days.
