Child Had Head Injury, Fever, Swollen Taste Buds. Taken Tylenol, Motrin. What Is Wrong?
My daughter age 3 got hit by a door knob on the side of her head knocked back about a foot . Shortly after she develops a fever lasted 3 days. For 3 dats she would wake up crying complaining her head hurt I have Tylenol but no luck still complains took her to the ER. They checked for uti strep throat all no she also had swollen taste buds which I had previously took her to the dr for but they told me it was ok. In the er the doctor said the swollen taste buds are a result if something she also had a swollen throat. He said she may have a viral infection prescribed iborophin and Tylenol. At the hospital the have her Tylenol n Motrin it killed her fever. After we got home I gave her the meds 2 days passed she developed this horrible cough and started throwing up. They insisted it was not a head injury but my daughter has plv from being premature so I wanted to make sure... What do you think could be wrong she still coughing breathing hard gagging throwing up but no fever... I thought it could be a head injury since she was fine before she hit her head
Head injury is just a coincidence with the illness of your child you can be assured of this.it is not responsible for the course of illness of your baby.continue with the treatment prescribed.generally at this age gruop viral infection is common foe these type of infection and they take 5-6 days to go off completely inspite of giving medications.if any problem occurs have an expert consultation.
