Child Has Bleeding Gums, Throat Ulcer, And Fever. How To Ease Pain?

My 2year son was diagnosed with Herpangina on Fri Sept. 30, 2012 with high fever and ulcers in back of throat ..Now his gums are bleeding not only when we brush his teeth(has never had gums bleed before) and very Red and Swollen. It is very difficult for him to eat and drink anything with him screaming that it hurts. He received no Med s, but to only take children s Tylenol for the Pain and fever. The Tylenol is not helping for the pain. Can you please advise what else we can do to ease the pain my son is having......Thank You.

good morning, went thru ur childs symptoms, first thing i would tell u that to maintain his oral hygiene well by using oral antiseptic mouth rinses- betadine mouth rinse, maintain his hydration well by giving him short meals and water frequently, and to ease his pain u can try with brufen syrup, around 5 ml for his age. if nothing works out, u should review with ur doctor, thank u .
