Child Has Chest Pain. X-ray Shows Enlarged Heart With Cardiovascular Congestion. What Does This Mean?

THIS CONCERNS MY 9 YR OLD GRANDAUGHTER - ALWAYS VERY HEALTHY. SHE WAS DOING SIT UPS AND HER CHEST WAS HURTING, TAKEN TO ER AND THEY CALLED AND ASKED FOR PRIMARY DR. OUR DR IS OUT OF TOWN FOR A WEEK AND MY DAUGHTER FINALLY GOT SOMEONE TO TELL HER THAT THE CHEST XRAY SHOWED AN ENLARGED HEART WITH CARDIOVASCULAR CONGESTION. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND SHOULD WE WAIT A WEEK TO SPEAK WITH HER DR TO BE REFERRED TO A SPECIALIST?

Th causes of enlarged heart may be
1, Anemia.
2. Cardiac defects.
If the child is short of breath, consult early as she needs physical examination, ECG and ECHO.
