Child Has Cough And Fever. Taken Zifi, Ascoril, Opex, Asthalin
i have 10 year old boy who is suffering from cough from last more than one week(around 9 days),the doctor fist advised zifi 100 and ascoril 2 times a day,the fever from the starting was 101,102 F. AS there was no improvement the the doctor changed the medicine to opex 100 and asthalin 2 times a day.
there is slight improvement in cough but the temperature is still hovering around 100F.
pleaase advise as we are unable to send the child to school

Hi,
Continue with antibiotic for 2-3days more.
If there is no improvement then go for blood work like complete blood checking, Widal test and if require go for x-ray chest.
After all reports go for treatment as advised by your doctor.
Give plenty of water.
Give light diet.
Ok and take care.
