Child Has Delayed Speech, Compulsive Behaviour. What Is Wrong?

My grandson, age 2 yrs and 3 months, although he is very smart and understands everything, he is very slow in talking. He babbles on , each day may say a new word or two, but not very clearly. Also, no matter what he is playing with, he lines everything up. Seems to have excessive compulsive behavior. Toys are usually just lined up in a certain order. Anything on my tables, candy dishes, candles etc. are lined up in order, even brought from one table to the next to have similar things together. He will walk by something and just stop to straighten it out. I have never seen this behavior in any of my children, grandchildren, other family members. Can you shed some light?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

Although the information provided is too little to say something conclusively but this child should be seen by a child psychiatrist in my view.

I am also recommending you a link below, kindly go through it and see if the symptoms mentioned in this article matches with that of your grandson or not?

Please feel free to discuss further once you have gone through this link.

Kind regards
