Child Has Discoloration Around Her Perineum. Appears To Have Started At The Anus. Cure For Symptoms?

Hi, my 21 month old grand- daughter has a green discoloration around her perineum. It appears to have started at the anus and is an oval shape. It has occurred with in a few hours because she did not have it when her diaper was changed last. She is perfectly heathy otherwise with no other other symptoms at this time.

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

It is very difficult to tell what is the cause of the green discolouration in the perineum till it is examined. I suggest you show the area to the doctor who will examine it and advise you. A guess that I can hazard for the cause can be soiling of the perianal region but needs to be confirmed by a clinical examination.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your grand-daughter all the best.
