Child Has Dry Cough, Vomiting. Eating Very Little. Serious Problem?
My 7 months old son having dry cough and vomiting right after his first bite of solid food. He started solid food since 6months and feeding formula every 4 hours once 4ounces. Is is serious problem.? Should I have to see the doctor? I am little nervous? Can you please explain why this is happening.?. Also he is getting teeth too.
Does he do that every time he is given solid food? If its so, you must get him seen by your Pediatrician. His throat has to be checked.
If this dry cough has started recently and he vomits after a cough, you need not worry. It might be a virus.
Due to teething, refusal to solid foods can happen. You can try to give him teethers to reduce the pain. Also Paracetamol in a dose of 15mg/kg/dose about thrice a day will ease the teething pain.
Teething will NOT cause cough, vomiting.
Please do visit your Pediatrician.
Wish your son good health
Hi
Children usually vomit after cough and called posttussive vomiting. But cough may be due to some infection in throat are some times feeding problems. If cough is like that consult your doctor for examination of your child. Usually teething starts from this age group .
