Child Has Frequent Urination, Pain. Done Urine Test. Anything To Worry?
i have a 10 month old son....he has frequent urination for more than 20 days....he passes only little amount with pain...... we consulted our pead and did the urine test....the result is 2-4 pus cells 1-4 epi cellc and e.coli were seen....colony count 0000/ml.....the doctor prescribed the antibio( amikacin ) in injection form.....is there anything to worry???
Hi
As the urine culture is Positive with the growth of E.Coli bacteria it is suggestive of urinary tract infection and this is the cause of frequent urination and pain. But i think colony count is 100000/mL.
So continue amikacin injections as advised by your doctor and nothing to worry and be in follow up with your doctor.
