Child Has High Head Temperature While Body Temperature Is Normal. Previously Prescribed P-250. Reason?

Hi Doc. My baby girl is of 2 years age. Her head is so hot and the rest of the body is normal (not heat at all, nor so cold). This is the second time that she got this.
Last time, I took her to a doc and he advised a prescription of P-250 and it was gone after 3 days.
This time it started again. What is the cause of this? Is this dangerous? What do you suggest?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

In children head is felt more hot than the rest of the body. There is nothing to worry about that. If you suspect fever you should see the temperature with a thermometer to confirm that.

Mere touch of the body some times would result in erroneously considering the child to be having fever and unnecessary medication.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
