Child Has Pink Spot On Back Of Head. Should I Be Concerned?
My 5 month old daughter has a circular, light pink spot with a gray center on the back of her head, right where she would have pressure from laying on surfaces. It does not go away or lighten, even when she has not been on her back for hours. It is also not a stork bite (she has one near her hairline and it is much different-looking). I am not sure how long the spot has been there; she s rubbed all her hair off recently and now I can see the skin there. Should I be concerned? What is causing this?
By the description provided by you the spot does not appear to be of any signifcance. However it shall be better to get it examined by a doctor to rule out any skin condition like a fungus infection which can also explain the loss of hair.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
