Child Has Stomach Pain, Green Stools, Vomiting, Constipation. What To Do?

my 2 year old has complained of stomach hurting and has green poop. He threw up yesterday. clingy. About 3 weeks ago he complained of it hurting when he would go to the bathroom. Took him in said he was constipated. but I have not noticed him being constipated. We eat really healthy. He then had a couple episods of the green stool and went a way and now it has been green again for 3 days.

HI,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Green color of the stool is only indicative of rapid bowel movement and nothing else.

So one need not worry about green color of the stool.
Stomach pain in kids could be because of several causes. It is comparable to head ache in adults which can occur because of several reasons.
It could be because of stress. A child is asked to eat some thing to eat that he does not want to he may complain of stomach pain. He is asked to go to school when he does not want to he may complain of stomach pain.
But there are some problems which if associated with stomach pain the child should be investigated.
If a child has weight loss, fever, blood in stool or his weight not increasing or complains of burning urination then his problem should be investigated.
Hope this helps
Take care
