Child Has Threadworms In Stools. Negative Stool Test. Taken Zentel. Passing Loose Stools Frequently
Hi Doctor, Mu daughter in 11 months old and i found threadworms in her stools. When we had given for stoll test the result came out negetive so we did not provide any medication. After 1 month again I found the worms and gave 5ml of Zentel. she is passing loose stool from the next day onwards and it seems to be beter the next day. 3rd day agin her stools are very loose and she is passing stools frequently. Please advise. She is develeoping teething too. Would that be a cause?
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day It's quite for baby of this age to pass frequent stools.which usually occurs soon after intake of food, its due to active gastrocolic reflex. The consistency of the stool also varies depending on diet of baby. There is no reason to worry about the stools if there are no signs of dehydration, baby is accepting feeds well. Maintaining hydration by giving supplement oral rehydration solution is advisable
I hope it helped
Kindly get back to me in case you have any other query
