Child Has Vomiting. No Fever. Could Have Eaten Something. Suggestions?

my baby was feeling great this morning then on the way to daycare he threw up then threw up 5 times at daycare with no poop..he got home and yellow metallic smelling burst. He finally had a bowel movement..but he has no fever is playing fine then just pukes..I'm worried he may have put something in his mouth he eats anything.lol..can u help?

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

Though you have not mentioned your son's age I presume he must be a toddler. Children at this age do put everything in the mouth and the first thing is vomiting. Later loose motions may start. It will be advisable to give some anti-emetic to control vomiting.

Hi
Thanks for your query.
Your baby is having features of acute gastritis which is mostly viral in nature and settles in few days.
Maintain hydration by giving fluids in form of coconut water.lemonade,curd.rice porridge.
In case of persistent vomiting antiemetic like domperidone should be given in prescribed dosage.
watch for any feature of dehydration like;lethargy/decreased urine output/

I case symptoms persist ger him evaluated by pediatrician.
