Child Have White Patches On The Cheeks

Hi, my son is 3 years old we went to Dubai in may fr 10 days n And did lots of swimming and outdoor activities. When we got back to India I noticed a white patch on his cheek on the extreme left. The patch is not dry and not even itchy. What is this?

This could be Pityriasis Alba, mostly a self limiting skin condition. As long it is not itchy or infected, you could use moisturizing cream liberally. sometime tanning can make the white patch look more obvious. So use sun-cream when going out in the sun or during outdoor activities.
Very occasionally this could be due to vitamin deficiency. As long he is eating healthy balanced diet, nothing to worry about. It will settle, but can take time.
