My 8 year old daughter has bruising all over her body. We saw her pediatrician she ordered for a full blood work up. They did a cbc with smear diff, ldh, inr and platelet. All looked normal except a elevated white cell count. She has no fever or signs of illness currently. Her Dr is referring her to a hemotologist for a second opinion. I have thalassemia beta minor, she was tested for thalassemia at 12, 18 and 24 months and was negative. She takes singular 4mg nasonex, flovent 110 and vyvanse 30mg. She also takes a herb called conga plex that she gets from her acupuncturist. She does acupuncture because she has had chronic sinus infections for 6 years. She had a T and A 10/22/2012 for cronic strep, tonsillitis and ear infections. We have not had any sinus issues for over 5 months. She was also dignosed with cyclic vomiting when she was 3 years old. Any suggestions on why the bruising is happening would greatly be appreciated. Also we noticed the bruising around 4/2013 and have seen a increase of bruising from very minimal contact. Thank you for any insight you may be able to give to me.
