Child Having Down Syndrome. Got Some Particles In Stool. What Could It Be?

We have a almost 4 year old daughter that has Down syndrome . Over the last week or so she keeps telling us ouch, but she can t tell us where it hurts. Well she had 2 bm s today and in both times she had this seed shaped capsule in it, after noticing we grabbed a wipe to see if it would pop and it did. What could this be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

It is not unusual for children to pop in various things in the mouth which your daughter must have done. This must have come out undigested in her stool.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your daughter all the best.

Regards,

RKK
