Child Having Fever, Twitches In Sleep, Has Diarrhea. Treatment Advise?

I have a 4yr old that has a fever of 100.9 under the arm but she is twitching in her sleep. About an hour ago her fever was 102.4 rectal. She also has diarrhea but all of these symptoms occurred overnight. She was hot the night before but by morning she was ok. When we went to bed she became hot again and we had to go have a bowel movement about 3 time during the night. The first bowel movement was normal, 2nd normal, 3rd liquid.

You should get her serum electrolytes including serum potassium and calcium done and look for any deficiency. Besides, ensure that fever doesn't go too high, say beyond 100 degrees F. You can use cold-sponging if anti-pyretics alone are not effective.
You also need to add antibiotics like cefixime or cefpodoxime to control this intestinal infection. Good luck.
