Child Having High SGOT And SGPT, Creatinine On Borderline Normal Post UTI Treatment. Cause?
My daughter is 11 years old. two weeks ago, her eyes were puffy and we brought her for urine and blood test. Urine test show high level of white blood cell . Blood test shows low level of creatinine . She had UTI She took Cefuroxine 250mg twice a day for 7 days. After the 7 days, blood and urine test were done. Urine is OK. For the blood we added SGPT and SGOT test. The result was Creatinine is now borderline normal on the lowest side and SGPT was 105 , SGOT was 210. Why is SGPT and SGOT high?

SGOT,SGPT are mildly raised and it is suggestive of mild hepatic involvement and these values should be correlated with overall clinical picture. So consult your Pediatrician with all reports and he will physical examination,review all reports and will suggest you the proper approach and the management.
