Child Is Having 4 Episodes Of Cream To Pale Colored Diarrhea. Bottom Is Slightly Scold And Blister. Treatment?
My son will be 2 in July he's had 4 episodes of cream to pale colored diarrhea since 5am ct time. He's very sore on his bottom to the point it's started to slightly scold and blister. He ate a waffle, peach, half a pop tart, and half a slice of cin. Raisin bread for breakfast. He drank half a cup of 1 part apple juice to 6 parts water. And is now on a cup if pedialyte
Diarrhoea in children should be taken care of medically.
It seems that your child is having enteritis, an infection in the gastrointestinal tract.
Get his stool investigated for Routine/Microscopic examination.
If reports confirm infection, he should be given antibiotic/antiamoebic according to the reports.
Take care of his diet. He should be given light meals.
Maintain adequate hydration. Oral Rehydration Fluids are an important part of management of electrolyte and fluid loss during diarrhoea.
I would suggest that he should be examined clinically by a Paediatrician.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
