Child Prescribed Bactrim For Insect Bite. Now Have Mouth Thrush, Knot Under Skin. Normal?

HAD a suspected insect bite of some kind. Not sure what it was. Took child to doctor and they prescribed Bactrim and sent him home. He has developed thrush in the mouth and the bite location seems to have developed a knot under the skin, not sure if it has infection in it. Is this normal? The bite location is on the hip area. The child is 6

Thank you for asking question on health care magic
the reaction due to insect bite usually clears within a weeks time
thrush in the mouth needs treatment with an antifungal agent like candid mouth paint
2-3 local applications daily will do
no antibiotic is needed
