Hi...my son just turned one... he completed 1 yr.. on 7th Jan .2013, he always had a potty once a day..but few days back he has five times a day..I don t know what happened with him.. everybody says that teething problem he has....i am not giving him any medicine or calcium ...please advice what should i do??? thanks in advance
Hi,
If the child has increased frequency of stools and added to that if you notice that he is not passing sufficient urine and if he becomes lethargic, he is getting dehydrated. Teething in children most often leads to diarrhea as they happen to put everything inside their mouth to lessen the teething itch. Try to see that he does not contaminate himself, give him electrolyte solutions as needed after getting him examined by his pediatrician. He may also need anti-diarrheal medication. Take care.
