Child Suffering From Cold And Cough

my kid is 18 months old,he is suffering from severe cold from past 2 weeks,cough from last 3 days,i gave mucolite for 5 days initially & as his cough was severe;i started giving piriton cough syrup now,is my medication right? do i need to give him antibiotic,if so what is d drug?

18 months kid having severe cough treated with mucolite and piriton. I would advise to consult doctor. Antibioics must be started but under care of doctor who examines the child. So please donot wait to worson the symptoms.
