Child With Autism. Trouble With Walking And Pain In The Waist. Is This Retts Syndrome?
Hi, my daughter is five and has been diagnosed with autism at three..Now she is having trouble walking and in pain from the waist down..we have been to a developemental ped. And her regular ped. There has been some talk about Retts syndrome .. I m wondering if her not being able to walk Could be a part of retts symdrome.?
It is not easy to fit a case in one syndrome very easily. In Retts Syndrome there are some features of small hand and feet which is probably not in your daughter's case. A lot of variations are there and hence it shall take some observation and time to fit a case in a particular syndrome or a diagnosis.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Wishing your daughter all the best.
