Child With Fever, Vomiting. Mpthal Spasz And Mpthal P Of No Help. Other Medicine?

Hi Good Morning Doctor,

please to inform you that my bay 7.2 years old girl baby and weight nearly 20 kgs from yester day onwords baby suffering from fever /vomitt immdiately my wife had given Mpthal P suspension after fever had reduced agialn wil
fever attack and we had consult the doctor near by house,doctor advised Mpthal spasz we gave to baby but fever not reduced..

please kindly your help if any medicin other than Mpthal p

Hi Pratap,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Meftal Spas is used to relive the colic type of abdominal pain with fever.

I advise you to give simple paracetamol in prescribed dose for fever and if there is high grade fever you can do tepid sponging with lukewarm water.

For vomitings you can give an antiemetic like ondansetron in prescribed dose.

Give sips of oral rehydration fluids like Pedialyte to prevent dehydration.

Consult a pediatrician for physical examination and for treatment.
