Child With High Fever And Sickness, Prescribed Augmentin, Temperature, Lethargy Still There, Muscular Pain. What To Do?

I have a 3 year old who developed a high fever and sickness 8 days ago. The doctor thought it was resulting from bacterial infection and prescribed Augmentin . A week later my son is no better - temperature and lethargy are still there, but last couple of days has started complaining that legs, arms, hips and stomach are hurting him, and is clearly in some pain when walking around house? Any advise welcome?

Hi,

Your son is likely to be suffering from post infectious Myositis. It is a condition which happens due to viruses and bacteria.

You can give your son a painkiller. Also get him re-examined so that the doctor could confirm by few investigation and would advise some supplements.

Regards
Take Care.
