Child With Pain Under The Feet. Redness With Swelling. Advil Not Working. Any Advice?
Hello, My son has been crying from pain on the bottom of his feet. He cannot stand up, walk or have any pressure on them. He tells me that both his feet hurt and all I see on the bottom of his feet is a red irritation, nothing raised or blistered. It's just red and maybe a slight swelling. We just came home from a carnival where he was playing in a 'bounce house', but he was wearing shoes or socks the entire time. Any idea what this can be or how to get the pain to stop? FYI, I gave him some liquid advil for the pain and he has at least stopped crying so far.
Due to the excessive playing and jumping activity in the carnival it is likely that your child must be experiencing sore muscles .However since there is pain and slight swelling in the foot which is red and incapacitating ,continue giving him analgesic also you could try keeping cold compresses on the area of pain.
It would be advisable that you get him examined by his doctor so that a thorough examination and investigations could be carried out. Bye Take Care
